The captivating quality of Emanuel Gat's pieces lies in their high musicality. From Bach to Boulez, from Awir Leon to his own compositions – the choreographer loves surprising his audience. LOVETRAIN2020 is a contemporary “musical”, an ode to the sound and vibes of the 1980s. At a breath-taking speed, the timeless hits of the British New Wave duo Tears for Fears (Mad World, Shout, Everybody Wants to Rule the World, Change, Sowing the Seeds of Love and others) merge with the extraordinary movement language of Emanuel Gat: perceptive, curious and inventive. LOVETRAIN 2020 creates a space filled with allusions, counterpoints and infinite possibilities, where movement and sound interact. A piece full of energy and lightness that explores the ways in which people come together, drift apart, attract and repel each other in infinite variation; thus remaining constantly in motion.
